Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Frazer Senior Center.
Interment: St. Josephs Cemetery, Frazer followed by a Memorial Feed at the Senior Center.
Evaline "Jake" FireMoon Tucker, age 87, of Tempe, Arizona, formerly a long-time resident of Frazer, MT, passed away in Scottsdale, Arizona on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from Cancer.
Evaline was born August 7, 1921 in Poplar, Montana to Thomas Firemoon, Jr. and Lucy Vasser FireMoon. She grew up and attended schools in Frazer.Evaline married George Lawson Tucker and was the last surviving child of Thomas and Lucy FireMoon. She grew up on FireMoon Hill in Frazer.Through out her life she lived in and enjoyed many various cities and communities including: in Arizona, Casa Grande, Mesa, Apache Junction, and Tempe; in New Mexico, Albuquerque; in Montana, Frazer, Billings, Bozeman, and Helena. Evaline was a member of the Red Mountain Senior Center where she volunteered. She also enjoyed word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.
Evaline is survived by her son, Benson J. Butch Follette of Tempe, AZ; special adopted son, Howard Montgomery of Tempe, AZ; nephews and nieces, Dennis V. (Flora) Follette of Helena, MT, Henrietta (David) Lester of Englewood, CO, Karen (Eddy) Oats of Helena, MT , Veronica (Julian) Shields of Aberdeen, SD, Thelma Follette of Wolf Point, MT, Judy (Kenny) Shields of Poplar, MT, Clarice (Dewayne) BigLeggins of Wolf Point, MT, Melda FireMoon of Glendive, MT, Vincent (Maria) FireMoon of Poulsbo, WA, Velda (Michael) Stewart of Temecula, CA, Dawson (Paula) FireMoon of Poplar, MT, Ingrid FireMoon (Bruce Bauer) of Wolf Point, MT, Lyla (Bill) Law of Urbana, MD, Thomas (Marva) FireMoon of Williston, ND and Lucy Daye FireMoon (Chad) Reddig of Lustre, MT; and many more numerous nephews and nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Tucker, son, Leslie FireMoon, daughter, Deanna FireMoon, father, Thomas FireMoon, Jr., mother, Lucy Vasser FireMoon, siblings, Eva Follette, Wesley FireMoon, Leroy FireMoon, Mildred Graves, Melda FireMoon, Lyle FireMoon, Kenneth FireMoon, and nephews, Leroy Follette and Melvin FireMoon.
Viewing will be 3:00 -7:00 p.m. with an Evening Service at 7:00 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point on Friday, February 20. Her Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Frazer Senior Center. Tyrus Follet and Ron Moccasinn will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Frazer followed by a Memorial Feed at the Senior Center.
