In Memory Of

Evelyn Mary LaDue age 86 of Forsyth, MT

February 10, 1933 – December 15, 2019

Evelyn Mary Bailey LaDue Died December 15th, 2019 at her daughters home in Forsyth, Montana.

Evelyn was born February 10th, 1933 in Maine, New York. Evelyn’s parents had a dairy farm where she learned how to work hard. She was working for the local doctors family, when she met David LaDue and they were married when Evelyn was 17. Dave promised her if she married him he would build her a stone house. He kept that marriage promise. In that home they raised four Children; Julie, Bonnie, Joseph and Alan.

Evelyn worked to help provide for the family. Driving a school bus for the Maine Endwell School district for 28 years. She worked many odd jobs, and many will remember her from “The Big M”.

We will all remember the great times we had up at the “lake”. The camp for fishing & boating and the sandbar, was a great place for family and friends.  Never heard her complain about cleaning the fish. She loved quilting, hunting, garage sales and the thrift stores.

Evelyn and husband David (who died 23 Sept 2018) family continues to grow, having 8 grand children. Julie & Everrett Teets had Christine the 1st & only granddaughter, Steven, Harley. Bonnie & Jeffrey Larnerd sons, Frank and Dan. Joseph with former wives Renee and Cheryl ( still call her Mom. She always loved that!) had Anthony, Justin and Joseph. Alan and Connie who have kept the stone house in good order and always welcoming when Evelyn and Dave came for a visit.  13 Great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons. She loved you all so much!

Evelyn was loving and kind with a smile that would warm your heart. Always helpful and supportive. Even after her 1st stoke she was always asking if she could help everyday without fail.

She was predeceased by her  sisters Bernice, Loretta, Joyce  and a brother Ransom. Her beloved sister Janice, sisters-in-law Jeannette, Velma, Marlene and uncle Carl along with so many family and friends will miss her. Others are welcoming her on the other side with shouts of joy.

Mrs. LaDue was my favorite bus driver when I was a kid. I used to sit in the front seat and watch the kids in her rear view mirror. I would then tell on the kids who were being bad! She always had a smile on her face! God has gained another 😇!
