F. Evelyn Zabrocki, age 82, of Miles City passed away at the Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City on September 3, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Evelyn was born on March 5, 1928 in Miles City, MT to June Cleveland and Zelma Minta (James) Edmondson. She attended grade schools in Coalwood country school. She graduated from Custer County High school in 1946 and went to Presentation School of Nursing. Following her graduation in 1949 she began working for Holy Rosary Hospital. On November 19, 1949, she and Carl Zabrocki were married in Miles City where they raised their family. She returned to nursing at Holy Rosary Hospital on the surgical and recovery ward. Evelyn then worked for the Friendship Villa for 18 years before retiring in 1992.
Evelyn is survived by her children; Carl (Patricia) Zabrocki of Billings, MT, Jim (Marilyn) Zabrocki of Miles City and Cheryl (Pat) Rogers of Miles City, MT. She is also survived by her grandchildren Todd (Shannon) Rogers, Toby Rogers (and special friend Michelle), Justin (Brooke) Zabrocki and Tim (Krista) Zabrocki and seven great-grandchildren; Dalton, Morgan, Madison, Desrae, Carl, Jackson, Charlie and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carl in 1994 and her sister Bernice Sheldon.
