Ezard J. Christofferson

Graveside Service: Friday October 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forsyth Cemetery in Forsyth, MT.

Ezard J. Chris Christofferson, age 90, of Ashland passed away October 1, 2006 at Powder River Manor in Broadus.

He was born May 24, 1916 in Westby, MT to John and Lena Christofferson where he grew up and attended schools graduating from Westby High School in 1934.Mr.

Christofferson worked with his father as a stone mason working at Fort Peck on the dam and on the Shasta dam in Redding, CA.He was inducted into the US Army in 1942 where he served with the 342nd Engineer Battalion. Upon his honorable discharge in 1945 he attended trade school in Chicago. Returning to Montana he worked for the State of Montana (Water Board) for 11 years. He then went to work at REA in Ashland retiring at the age of 65 in 1981. He and Fay Canty Hanson were married on May 24, 1962.
She preceded him in death in 2001.

Mr. Christofferson is survived by step-daughter Cleo Wisnor of Las Vegas, NV as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday October 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forsyth Cemetery in Forsyth, MT. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home, Forsyth is in charge of arrangements.
