Fay was born in Jordan, Montana to Ernest and Clara Brock Hamilton Bump. Two weeks after her birth the weather broke and she was taken home to her mother’s homestead on the west side of the Musselshell River in the Breaks. She joined her hour Hamilton sisters there. That was home until she started school. Her family moved into Winnett where her mom took in boarders and dad worked for Johnny Hill.
Fay graduated from high school in 1953. She married George Mosby and his son Harry Kent in Harlowtown, Montana May 23, 1953. Billy Bump was born on July 4, 1954, and Cindy Lou completed the family on January 4, 1958.
George and Fay lived in the Mosby and Winnett area raising their family and working for the Jet Fuel Refinery, Wayne Bratten and Bub Nunn. In 1973 they moved to Miles City. George worked for Lyle Pettus and Fay worked at Keglers and the VFW.
George passed away in January 1994. Several years later Fay moved to Eureka, Montana, living there and spending winters in Arizona. In June of 2017 Bruce and Cindy brought her home to Miles City due to health issues. She resided at Friendship Villa until it closed and then moved to Holy Rosay Residential Living. Both facilities gave her awesome, compassionate care.
Fay was preceded in death by her four sisters: Maryanna (Jim) Davis, Betty (Franklin) Lane, Shirley (Luke) Balance, Lucille (Louie) Lamb, and her son Billy.
She is survived by her son Harry Kent (Judy), Cindy (Bruce) Ingraham, daughter-in-law Sally Jane Brothers, granddaughter Cresta Mosby, grandsons: Douglas and Marc (Ashley) Ingraham and great grands: Milee and Jax Ingraham.
Thank you to Friendship Villa and Holy Rosary for the wonderful care of Fay.

It is so eerie that I was thinking of your mom just a couple of days ago…she must’ve winging her way to heaven and was saying good bye to us all left below!! Taking care of her was such a hoot!! I say that in the best way ❣️ She was such a trooper, too, in her suffering. You were a very supportive and loving daughter, Cindy! I hope your heart will mend and be at peace soon.

Fay took over the cooking for our ranch the summer of 1995 while I was struggling with chemo. We were most grateful when she stayed on that fall as our outfitting cook. AND she helped with Paul & Kristi’s new twins.
Not only was she capable and hardworking, but she was also FUN! She took no sass from our hunting clients . That was entertaining to watch.
I regret that our friendship lapsed after she moved to Eureka, tho Kristi sent pictures of the twins for several years.
Cindy and Bruce, may God richly bless uou for honoring Fay with your years of care.

Cindy and family,
George and Fay were special individuals. There were days I helped at the Brink Place when Lyle Pettus had the the place. I helped George, Fay and my Dad, Jimmy Archdale. They worked long hard days. Fay would slip away from the crew few minutes before noon. Waiting for us as we walked in the house was a majestic meal and all the trimmings. My favorite meal was beef short ribs. Sad to be in the oldest group.
