Jay, Doug, and families; my heart is with you all. Faye was such a fine lady and a strong woman, and she leaves many wonderful memories. (Remember the dog and the beans in the basement apartment?) Her wit was as sharp as her knitting needles, and her heart as soft as her smile. She’s a special angel now.

My sincere condolences to the family of Georgia Faye Donley – I am sorry to hear of your loss. We naturally have the desire to continue to enjoy life because God put eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11). It was never the Creator’s purpose for us to suffer or die. Death was introduced through Adam’s disobedience (Romans 5:12). The Bible promises a resurrection of dear family members and friends that we have lost (John 5:28, 29). I hope you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).

I will always remember the beautiful quilts she made. There was a ” cathedral window” quilt, made from A very intricate pattern, that I coveted madly. When I remarked that it must have been very difficult to make, she said, “not for me……”She was one of a special breed of woman, strong and determined, with a little touch of spunk to go along with those qualities. Those are some of the things she passed on to her posterity. I know because I have seen those very things in my special daughter- in- law, Jocelyn Hansen , Faye’s granddaughter.
