Fiona Frances McRae came into this world on March 29th, 2024 at 6:05pm weighing 1lb 10oz. Born at just 25 weeks Fiona was tiny, but strong, stealing our hearts and taking our breath away. A fighter from the beginning her feisty attitude had the nurses and doctors in love and in awe, as after the first day they were able to take her breathing tube out and put her on light oxygen. For nearly two weeks Fiona stayed steady, until it was discovered she had MRSA and a brain bleed. As hard as she fought it proved to be too much an she gained her angel wings on April 13th, 2024. For fifteen days Fiona made an impact on so many, there is no earthly way to convey how much we loved her and will always her.
She is preceeded in death by her grandmother Lorrie. She is survived by her parents Ian and Kimberly, grandfather Steve, grandparents Jack and Kathy, uncles Alex (Andrea) and Malcolm (Rejean), aunts Kristen (Cord) and Cora, and her six neices and nephews. Cora Best and Bart Lammers were her Godparents.
Donations can be made in Fiona’s name to The Ronald McDonald House Denver or the St. Jospeh’s NICU unit. We appreciate all the love and prayers.
