Archie attended the Pierre Indian Boarding School, Pierre So. Dak., and graduated from the Busby High School, Busby, Mt. Archie excelled in sports, especially in basketball. In 1966, his team brought home the State Championship Trophy. This trophy is still proudly displayed at the Busby High School. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player that season. He often talked about the game plays against his favorite rival team, St Labre Braves. He was very proud of his son, Flint he earned the best defense and most steals in the season for the Morning Stars Basketball Team. Also, he was proud of his son, Harlan when enlisted in the US Marine Corp.
Archie earned a high school basketball scholarship he was able to attend the University of Montana, Missoula where he took courses in Business. He was drafted into the US Army in 1967; he received a medical discharge in 1969.
Archie worked for BIA forestry dept., Northern Cheyenne Police Dept., as a dispatcher, Black's Sawmill, and security guard for Housing Construction.
He taught his sons, daughters, and grandchildren his love of hunting and fishing. Archie made many lifelong friends, he enjoyed his hunting trips with them. Archie liked making arts/crafts for his children, family, and friends. He made a ceremonial staff that was carried at the 1st annual Sandcreek Spiritual Run, Denver, Colo.
He married Holda Pine Roundstone on June 23, 1973. He is survived by his wife, daughter, Rochelle Roundstone (Michael Whiteman), Four sons, Dale Roundstone, Flint Reid Roundstone (Kayla Gonzales), Harlan Canyon Roundstone, and Chey Juke Roundstone (Sheila Roundstone), and his adopted brothers, Harlan Tallbull, Clinton Birdhat, Frankie Bearquiver, and Gary Spang. He is also, survived by a sister Elsie Weaselbear, an aunt, Rachel Roundstone, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and too many relatives to mention.
His parents, Dorothy Medicine Elk and Frank Paul Roundstone, Sr., sisters, Priscilla and Elvina Roundstone, brothers and adopted brothers, Wendell, Wayne, Richard Roundstone, Darrell (Sonny) Spang, Jacob Tallbull, Milton Whiteman and Johnny Boy Whiteman, daughter, Carolyn Roundstone, and grandson Mikhale Lee Whiteman preceded him in death.

Archie was raised by my Mom Beulla Roundstone Sioux Calf. His cousin is Rachael Roundstone Carroll not his Aunt. Archie will be missed by the whole Roundstone Family. Archie you can now join all your family who are waiting for you. Prayers to Holda & family.
