The fondest memory that I have is when he stopped at my dad’s house in Ismay and my wife and I had a chance to visit with him. He had just finished working on the television series, Lonesome Dove and he was talking about all of the actors in it and in particular, Robert Duvall.
He told us that he was a genuine guy and that he did all of his own horseback riding. I didn’t know Frank all that well but my memories of him was that he was a genuine type of guy.

I never knew Frank very well since he was pretty quiet around me, since I was pretty much a stranger to him. I got to visit a little better with him at McDonalds not to long ago just before Birdie died as I wanted to know how she was. To Franks family our thoughts and condolences are with all of you. God’s promises of no more death or even old age are comforting when we connect it to resurrecting those who have died. It’s the best hope we have for now so may you be comforted by that hope along with the fact that Frank had very interesting and long life. The Molines

My deepest condolences to my good friends Linda, Monty & Gentry. Linda & family… I took a shine to Frank 1st time I meet him. Old bet up cowboy hat his hard weathered skin the twinkle in his eye and that charming smirk on his face… hands in his pockets of his best faded work blue jeans and some of the best cowboy boots ya ever seen… worn, cracked and walked down from the many many hot or cold long days a man could wear a pair of boots. A true cowboy who was weathered hard, strong & tuff and was proud to be who he was. Had a wonderful visit with him on everything from mountains to mules – with a brighter twinkle in his eye he laughed and asked “If I had ever felt like I was born 100 years to late” I said “Oh Hell Yeah!!” ” but I think someone would shot me early in my days! he asked “Who the Indians or the Cowboys??” with his hands on his knees slightly bent over having a good laugh I told him ” I don’t know! Guess my mule wasn’t fast enough to get out of there… he straighten up gave me his hard cowboy look and said ” Ya should been riding a horse lady!” Frank will be one of those special people that I will carry to my grave .
Rest in peace cowboy. See ya on the other side.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Frank L. Askin – I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in many beautiful memories of Mr. Askin at this difficult time. The Bible gives us hope that soon the Creator will end all suffering, pain, and death. (Revelation 21:4) Also we have the hope of again being with our loved ones when they are resurrected (John 5:28-29). The promise of Paradise, the perfect conditions God originally intended for mankind in the Garden of Eden will be fulfilled including God’s “will being done as in Heaven also up on Earth “(Matt 6:9, 10). Please continue to learn about the many comforting promises in the Bible. (John 17:3).
