Graveside Service: Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan.
Frank Edgar Haney, age 86, of Jordan passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Garfield County Health Center as a result of a recent illness.
Frank was born at Butte Creek, Montana on November 19, 1922. He was the oldest son of Alfred and Agnes May Haney. After the family moved from the ranch to Jordan, Frank worked for ranchers and trucking firms around the Jordan area loading and unloading trucks. Later he moved to Miles City where he attended Eastern Montana Industries for 25 years where he helped with the construction of the well known beautiful cedar chests, the church pews and various other pieces of furniture. Frank was always spoken of as one of the best workers at the school. He was conscientious, willing and able. He lived at the Eagles Manor for a number of years and when failing health made it impossible to live unassisted, he moved to Joyces Adult Foster Care. Joyce Conley has become a very special friend to members of the Haney family because of her special talent of loving and caring for Frank. She made Franks last years especially happy. When Frank could no longer respond with clarity it was decided he should be in a nursing home so the family wanted him to be in Jordan. Joyce Conley and her son Mike moved him out to Jordan to the Garfield County Health Center in November of 2006 where he has resided since.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Richard and one sister Patsy and an infant sister Helen. Frank is survived by three sisters: Katherine (Dave) Huston of Brusett, MT; Trudy (Joe) Butler of Jacksonville, OR, BJ Best of Bullhead City, AZ and a brother, Al (Baiba) Haney of Sacramento, CA and numerous nephews and nieces.
