In the early morning of November 7, 2022, Frank went home to be with the Lord. He was surrounded by his children.
Frank was born in Brusett, MT in his Grandma and Grandpa Loomis’ house on November 16, 1932, to Charles A. and Elsie (Loomis) Phipps. He was raised on the family ranch in Brusett, MT alongside his siblings, Roy, Evelyn, Curtis, Robert, David, Mary and Clinton. He cherished his upbringing and would talk fondly of his childhood and growing up in a log cabin home with dirt floors. His parents were a wonderful example of hard work, determination and love.
Frank drove truck for a few years, traveling throughout the United States, until he found his true talent of carpentry. He was a skilled craftsman, building and remodeling many homes for over fifty years. Within his early years, he discovered his love for our Lord Jesus Christ and was saved. He was called to be a local missionary. You could find him traveling the countryside, sharing his love for the word of God, always with his Bible by his side. This calling didn’t always sit well with others, losing jobs and people turning their backs on him. This never detoured him as he maintained his faith and continued to spread the word. Frank wanted everyone to find the same peace in their heart that he found so many years ago. He was bold and stood his ground on his beliefs and continued to pray for everyone.
God gave him the ability to make connections with all generations. It didn’t matter whether you were 5 or 90 years old.
Frank was blessed with a beautiful family that he was so proud of. His children and their families, Ted (Connie)–Diedre, Clinton; Rob (Tanya); Sean (Roni)-Natalie; Scott (Brandi)-Trinity, Myah; David (Kylene)- Zach, Luke, Elyse; Amy (Matt)- Jenna, Laityn; Steve (Teneil)-Mayson, Phoenix; Ben (Georgina)-Ruth Ann, John.
An avid fisherman who could out fish anyone. He enjoyed the outdoors and reveled in its beauty. A hunter, gardener, ice cream maker, Chinese Checkers champ, a witty jokester. A sweet, gentle, honest man. His presence on Earth will be missed, but we rejoice knowing we will see him again someday.
Frank is survived by his children, grandchildren, brother Curtis, sisters Evelyn and Mary. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers; Roy, David, Bobby and Clinton. His daughter-in-law Connie and two infant children.
A special thank you to the Holy Rosary ICU nurses and the Billings Clinic Hospital ICCU nurses and doctors. The respect and care you gave to our dad in his remaining days will stay with us forever.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 p.m. at Hearts of Peace Cemetery in Brusett. A luncheon will follow at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.

I am sorry to hear that the world has lost such a wonderful and good man. I met Frank when he built all the houses around Roosevelt School, I would pick up the debris on the construction site for him to help. I known your dad since I was around 10 years old. One of the fondest memories was of him taking a group of us church kids to Hell Creek. It was a two track road, we camped on the beach and ate around the camp fire. There was nothing there but wild open country. I remember going hunting with him as a kid, enjoying watching him shoot some nice mule deer and learned as he worshipped God at church. What a wonderful, kind and caring man. Grandma thought the world of Frank. Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family. I am saddened to hear that he passed with out seeing him one more time. God gained a Christian soldier. Rest in peace, my friend.

To think about Frank was to think about one’s own eternity.Ive met a very small number of people who received and lived their faith like Frank did. He was the real thing. He saw way deeper than I did. But was a great help to me and many others.I expect he’s having a runaway of some proportion now that he’s gone thru the vail.

The world lost a giant of a man today –Frank was one of the kindest, most caring, giving, man I have had the pleasure to call my friend –I have never met anyone with a more wholesome positive upbeat spirit then Frank in the short few years that I have gotten to know him he touched me deeply, he truly was a man of faith and he shared his faith freely –he never complained about anything or had a bad word to say about anyone. I am sure he is in a much better place and he is not in pain anymore — his spirit will live on in all the people his life touched —-you will truly be missed my friend—RIP
