Fred Dewayne Buddy Wagoner, age 50, of Miles City, Montana passed away unexpectedly at his home in Miles City, MT on February 12, 2008.
Fred was born on January 1, 1958 to Fred and Bonnie (Womack) Wagoner in Wichita, Kansas. He attended grade school in Maize, Kansas. In 1972, he moved with his family to Miles, where he attended Custer High School.
It was during the last couple of years of high school that he began his life career in the roofing industry. Fred would go to school early in the morning and work with his father roofing in the afternoons. He was running his own crew before he graduated high school in 1976. From 1976 until 1983 he roofed not only in the Miles city area, but also in many communities across Montana. From 1983 until 1989 he traveled across the United States roofing Motel 6s. They were so pleased with his work, that at last count, he had roofed at least 189 of their newly constructed motels. Fred maintained his home in Miles, and would live and work in South Eastern Montana all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, roofing, working on vehicles and attending Cowboy Football games.
Buddy is survived by: three brothers: Mark Wagoner of Polson, MT; Steve Wagoner of Casper, WY; Timothy Wagoner of Miles City, MT; two sisters: Velma Bourn of Miles City, MT; and Rosa Ruff of Broadus, MT; twenty four nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Wagoner, Sr.; his mother, Bonnie Wagoner; a brother, Jimmie Wagoner, and a sister, Rhonda Wallace.
