Funeral Service: Thursday January 8, 2009 at 11:00am in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer, MT
Burial: will follow in the Family Cemetery west of Lame Deer.
Our beloved husband, father and brother, Gail Bradley Baker, Jr. Beericga Ahuus (Many Ravens), age 46, went home to the Creator on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Billings Clinic after a long illness.
Gail belonged to the Prairie Chicken Clan and is a child of the Dripping Dirt Clan. He is a member of the Mandan and Hidatsa Tribe from the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation in North Dakota.Gail moved to Lame Deer with his parents in the early 1970s. He attended schools in Busby where he played football and St. Labre in Ashland.Gail was self-employed as an independent contractor. He worked as a laborer most of his life. Gail loved to cook and feed everyone who came to his home.
On September 14, 1985, Gail and Addie Woodenlegs were married. Gail and Addie have one son; Gail Bradley Baker III.
Gail was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica Two Crow Baker and a special Aunt, Ramona Baker Heart.
Gail is survived by his long time companion and wife, Addie Woodenlegs Baker of 23 years and their son, Gail Brad Baker III, both of Lame Deer, his father, Gail Baker, Sr., step mother, Rose Marie Mandan, brothers, Leslie Baker, Kevin Baker, John Baker, all of New Town, ND., Darryl (Parmalee) Baker of Minot, ND, sisters, Mary Ellen (Roger) Lemke, of Houston, TX and Clarice Baker Big Back (Eugene) of Lame Deer, MT. and New Town, ND. Three special friends, Vance Rufk, Chris Rochelle and Tim Simonton.The family of Gail is especially thankful for the kindness and medical care provided by the Billings Clinic Dialysis Unit staff: Claudette, nurse; Dr. McGuire, Dr. Mock and Dr. Truscott.
