Garry Chapel, age 54, of Miles City formerly of Big Timber passed away at the Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City on Saturday, March 20, 2004.

Garry was born on September 5, 1949 in Big Timber, MT to Eugene and Marie (Gale) Chapel. He attended country grade schools in Nob Hill and Glaston Country School and graduated from Big Timber School. Garry entered the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After returning back to Big Timber area, he worked for area ranches until moving to Miles City in 1990 where he worked for the Fred Wacker Ranch until the time of his death.

Garry is survived by three sons; Garrett Chapel of Big Timber, MT, Brian Chapel of Miles City, MT, Evan Chapel of Big Timber, MT, two brothers; James Chapel of Balantine, MT, George Chapel of Von, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Eugene Chapel, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 25, 2004 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 11:00 am at the MT View Cemetery in Big Timber, MT with full military honors.
