On June 7th, 1969, Gaylene married Robert (Bub) Morgan. They had two sons, Robert Newman Morgan and Brian Keith Morgan. Gaylene and Robert (Bub) divorced in 1990 but remained close friends until the time of her death.
Gaylene enjoyed spending time with her large family, fishing with her father, gardening, and playing board games and cards. She spent much of her time with her granddaughter, Sarah. Sarah shared many adventures with her “Gramma G”.
Gaylene belonged to a smoking cessation forum and eventually became a moderator for that website. She became close friends with several people from all over the US through her work with the forum. She also played pinochle every week at the Townsend Senior Center and was very active in the United Methodist Church of Townsend.
