Travis Ross says
Gene was an Uncle figure while we resided in Tucson working for Northern Line Layers. I remember so much of him and how we would hang out and fix Frank’s stuff around the RV park. Sally, my condolences and God bless. He is upstairs welding on the gates to heaven keeping them working well. He most likely is playing with the pup and his old dog while there.

I was thinking of him lately and googled his name. Such a travesty to read his obituary. He is loved and missed.
David Michael Barnett says
Gene worked for my dad, Ed Barnett of Barnett and Gardenhire Cattle Trucking in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was the main mechanic and would also drive trucks when needed. He was a good and honest man. He and Jack Ross (brother) came down for my dad’s funeral, which I much appreciated.
