Karen Losing says
I am so sorry for your loss of Gene. He was a really neat man and I always enjoyed his visits to the college. He always had a smile and a kind word. I worked directly with Dorthy when I first started at the college, so she and Gene were always very special to me. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Karen Losing
Paul & LynneRae Hazelton says
Gene had a “name this city” game he played on us years ago where he would call a friend and they would tell him the city we had been thinking of without him saying the name and he loved tricking everyone with it. About 10 years later he told us the secret 🙂 His smile and sense of humor made everyone love to visit with him. He will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers to all his family.
In friendship,
Paul and LynneRae Hazelton

Mary Jean and Joann and families, I am so very sorry for your loss of your dad. He was a great guy and always kept his keen sense of humor and friendly ways. He made his mark on this land for sure. My deepest sympathy and ongoing prayers are with you.
Bonnie (Pacovsky) Tuttle says
Mary Jean & Jo Ann,
I don’t know if you remember me or not. My first husband, Mike Pacovsky cut meat with your Dad at Reynolds in Sidney, MT. I remember your parents so well and think of them often. I tried to call them a few times when I was passing through Miles City but could never reach them. Your Father is the one that hired Mike at Reynolds and gave our married life a big boost. It was such a good and rewarding job for Mike. I will never forget your Father for that. He always had the greatest smile and was such a kind man. Your Mother also. We had a lot of fun times visiting together. They were both such wonderful people. Please know they will always be in my thoughts and prayer.
T Alston says
I am sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the hope of seeing your loved one again by means of the resurrection (John 5:28,29)

J Johnson says
Dear Family and Friends of Gene T. Buck – The loss of every human life is significant to me and should be valued by all. It is obvious according to the information listed above about Mr. Buck that he was loved and his life touched many people. His life was also valued by the Creator who recorded in the Bible book of Hebrews that God does not forget all of the love and fine works shown by his servants (Heb 6:10). It was not God’s purpose that mankind suffer and die. Jesus’ sacrifice of his human life on earth again gave us hope of everlasting life and soon death will be done away (Revelation 21:4). Hopefully, faith in these Bible promises will ease the pain from this loss as you look forward to seeing Mr. Buck again under perfect Paradise conditions as promised in the Bible.

Mary Jean and Jo Ann, we were so sorry to learn of your dad’s passing. He was a wonderful man, and we always enjoyed running into him when visiting family in Miles City. His ever-present smile and great sense of humor never failed to lift the spirits of those around him. We are sure he is having a wonderful reunion with Dorothy! God Bless, Lana and Bill Sweeney
Don Jore says
Gene”s parents homestead was about 1/2 mile from my familys. The family wasnt living there when I grew up but Gene spent some time in the area. Our birthdays were only 4 days apart. My brother leased the homestead for years and then bought it from Gene.
When we had 2 Jore reunions I inviteed Gene to come as relatives from Kansas and Seatle were coming and their fathers, Roy and Lester Jore are Genes firist cousins. Gene couldnt make it due to pror committments.I hadnt seen Gene since we were about 15.

Joanne and Mary Jean – I was saddened to hear of your dad’s passing but know that he is happy being with Dorothy again. Jack and I always enjoyed your parents so much and will always remember the good time – know you will, too.
Sue Anne Gardner Iman says
Mary Jean and JoAnn, I am so sorry that your Dad has passed. He was always so much fun. I learned how to officially wrap meat from him – don’t remember the details of the why, but it was in his butcher shop in Broadus. And of course, my parents always really enjoyed the company of Gene and Dorothy- we were all pretty bummed when they moved to Miles City.
We were in MC a few years ago and ran into Gene downtown, so we had a good visit. He hadn’t changed a bit – I would have known him anywhere!
Keep the memories fresh. God bless you. Sue Anne

Mary Jean and Joann,
I so enjoyed both your mother and father. I had visited with your Dad often on trips to Miles City as he would come to the 600 Café and eat lunch with a few old Broadus friends. So very sorry for your loss.
Mary Halvorson says
I so enjoyed Gene at St Vincent’s. He always made my trips there pleasant. He truly touched my life because he made my days a little better even without knowing me. I wll miss him. So that is a life well lived. All my sympathy to his family and friends.
Paul and Elaine Schieffer says
To Gene’s family — We are sorry to hear of Gene’s passing and want you to know we smile every time we think of him. Paul worked with Gene at Montana Quality Foods and truly enjoyed him. He was always smiling and worshipped his sweet Dorothy as she worshipped him. When visiting with them she was always saying, “Gene” this, “Gene” that or “Oh, Gene,” and she would laugh. He was so good at telling stories! You must feel comforted knowing he lived a full and wonderful life and knowing he enriched the lives of everyone he came in touch with each day. Our thoughts are with you all.
Charlie & Shirley Russell says
