George F. Rickett Sr., age 77, of Miles City, Montana, passed away on May 26, 2025.
George was born on January 19, 1948, to Charles Rickett and Betty Knapp. He was raised with a strong work ethic and a love for adventure, which led him to attend transmission school in Great Falls, Montana. He later pursued a long and fulfilling career as a trucker—a profession that matched his independent spirit and love for the open road.
In his free time, George found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved the excitement of competing in derbies and bump and run races, and he was an avid fisherman who cherished time spent outdoors. George also had a special place in his heart for animals and was known for his love of pets and his grandkids.
He is survived by his son, George Rickett Jr. (Christy); his mother, Betty Rickett; brothers, Ed Rickett and Pat Rickett; sister, Susan Peltzer; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his son, Archie Charles Rickett; his father, Charles Rickett; and his brother, Jim Rickett.

George was one of the first people we met when we moved to Fallon 15-16 years ago. Such a nice guy! Always willing to help a fellow vet! John & George have plenty of stories to share and could talk each other’s ears off. We kept in contact even after our move to Miles City. We’ll sure miss him! Sending prayers to his family. Rest in peace George.
