He was born on July 12, 1933 to Noble and Edith Fulton in Gillette, Wyoming. George moved to Powder River County when he was 16, working for area ranchers. He began buying cows, running them on Fredric Swope’s place while he worked there. When Swopes moved to western Montana, George moved his cows up the river and began working for Hubert and Mary Gay.
In 1962, George Fulton and Evelene Swope were married at the Swope family home near Lonepine, Montana. George and Evelene bought a place further up the river and ranched there until the present time.
George was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Phyllis Mueller and Mary Ellen Coleman and his brother Glenn. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelene, his son Hugh (Valli) and his daughter, Nellie (John) Tandy, grandchildren Breiann (Kalan) Pluhar and Darby Fulton, Jake and Samantha Tandy, Bill and Jayme Gaskill and his sister Barbara Rice.

Hugh and Nellie and families; A 2011 Christmas story … I often left food or something on mailboxes around Moorhead. Evelene phoned to tell me they received a thank you from the maillady for food (which they had not left) thus she assumed it was me (we both had a wonderful laugh). George did inform me (much to Evelene horror) that he did not like banana bread, and I just laughed, but that he really did like lemon poppyseed! Just made him another loaf … GOD BLESSINGS on this CHRISTMAS TO EACH and EVERYONE OF YOU. Missing a wonderful neighbor and friend, Ann (Ronny, too)
Bill and Dina says
