She was born on January 23rd, 1952, her parents were Margreat Redcherries and Lloyd Runsabove; In Crow Agency, MT.
Growing up she attended St. Labre Indian school, Chief Dull Knife College, Murray State, MSUB where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Georgia was the first native female firefighter in the 70’s. She briefly lived in Chicago with her sister Della, where she met Alice’s father. Georgia returned home and then started working as an EMT. She then worked at the LDES and Head Start where she retired. She worked as a librarian and a tutor for many years at Lame Deer Elementary School. She had a green thumb at the library, and it bloomed with very many beautiful plants.
Georgia and her daughters moved to Wyola and made it their home there for many years. Georgia loved and catered to her daughters, she always provided everything they needed even for her grandchildren. She moved to Lame Deer and resumed her career in education at the elementary school in Lame Deer. While in college she had a newspaper column called “Dear crabby”. Where she gave readers relationship advice.
Georgia loved her family and took great pride in being a direct descendant of Chief Little Wolf. One of her greatest joys was watching her nephew Walter (Walt Runsabove) a fancy dancer performer. Special thank you to the New Life Church in Harin MT, also her best friend Avis. Who continued to support Georgia in her illness. Avis never failed to send mom a Xmas card and a birthday card every year, Georgia loved and believed in Jesus Christ and attended church services as long as she could. She was an adventurer and loved traveling and visiting new places. She also loved long drives in the back hills and roads, picking plums and chokecherries while out in the wilderness. Enjoying the views and the smells of the trees and the beautiful scenery. She was an educator at a young age, she’s taught very many beautiful souls to read and write during her time of teaching.
She had a tender heart, she was strict, but her sternness was to keep her loved ones safe and secure. Georgia helped raise her only grandson and granddaughter; Cadence LeeAnn Blackwolf, Daniel Courage Harding, who cared for her in her final days. She lived with Daniel and her daughter Alice for the last 2 and a half years; Addie had taken care of her the previous two years. Georgia was very vibrant and outgoing despite being at home with an illness, showing us, she still had her spirit and her will to be alive and happy.
Alice and Addie have devoted parts of their lives to their mother and have taken great care of her. Enjoying the silly and the sad side of Georgia, loving every day down to the last second of their mother’s presence here on earth.
She has gone to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, walking and rejoicing on the streets of Gold with her loved ones that have passed on before her.

God’s speed to paradise Georgia. Thank you for your love and care for all who had the privilege of knowing you and especially for loving your grandchildren, great grandchild. You’ll be deeply missed, but I know you are in the heavens, a place your faith and strong belief promised you, reunited with all your loved ones and whole again. May the good Lord comfort and give peace to your daughters and grandchildren.

Worked with Georgia for most of the years I was at Lame Deer. We had recess duty together many years. She told it like it was and didn’t mince words, but was kind and caring under that gruffness. We had many conversations about the Lord, a shared love of reading, and more. She’s with the Lord… a better place for her, but sadness and missing her for those of us left behind. My prayers go to her family.
