Georgia Daniels, age 93, of Gillette, Wyoming, died February 28, 2004 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette of natural causes.
Georgia N. Daniels was born January 29, 1910, the daughter of Georgia (Haner) and Theodore E. Nordgren in Anamosa, Iowa. Georgia graduated from high school in Seattle, Washington. Georgia taught at different schools in the country in Nebraska and Wyoming including Douglas and Casper. She married Theodore C. Daniels in 1937 and lived in Douglas, Wyoming until 1957, when Ted was appointed Judge of the Seventh Judicial Court and moved to Casper, Wyoming. Georgia worked in youth activities including Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Jobs Daughters, taught Sunday School and a co-sponsor of youth group in Congregational Church in Douglas, Wyoming. She was also the Past Matron of Woodbine PEO Chapter #18, Douglas, Wyoming and Past President Wyoming State Chapter PEO. She was also a member of Meals on Wheels, the Hospital Auxiliary, Pink Ladies the Bridge Club and Life Live.
Georgia is survived by a daughter, Pat (Scott) Burton of Simi Valley, California; a son, John T. (Sandra) Daniels of Gillette, Wyoming; two grandsons; Ian Daniels of Gillette, Wyoming and Daniel (Melanie) Begakis of Burbank, California; and two great grandchildren: Jack and Virginia Begakis.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Gene Nordgren, and one granddaughter, Elisha Burton.
A memorial has been established in Georgias name to benefit the First Congregational Church of Casper, Wyoming, the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of Gillette, and MOW (Meals on Wheels) or Blue Envelope Fund.If you wish to send the family condolences please send an email to: swfh@collinscom.net
