Georgia Mary Muggli age 76, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City.
Georgia was born June 30th, 1935 to George Mockel and Myrtle Jane Simpson Mucked in Williston, North Dakota. Georgia attended schools in Roswell (1947) and Las Cruces, New Mexico, Williston, North Dakota and lastly Billings Montana for her junior/senior years. In 1959, she moved to the Miles City area to work at Garberson Clinic and Holy Rosary Hospital as a record keeper. On February 2, 1960 Georgia was united in marriage to Luke Robert Muggli at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. They built a home on the family farm three miles east of Miles City where they raised four children. After the children were grown, she worked for Mac´s Frontierland, State Farm, and then returned to Holy Rosary Hospital where she worked in the medical records department until her retirement in 2011. Georgia loved to work in her yard and garden. She worked hard to keep things neat and tidy. She could often be found picking up debris along the road and highway nearby her home. She visited the Carlsbad Caverns, Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Washington DC, Sears Tower, New England Elderhostel, Alaskan Gulf, and mainland, Yellowstone National Park, and many other unique locations and bus tours. She also opened her home to persons from Japan, Italy, and Switzerland through the 4-H exchange program.
Georgia visited family when she could. She has fond memories of spending time at her Uncle Alvin´s farm southwest of Williston. She also made some life-long friendships with roommates when she attended Concordia College. Georgia maintained close relationships with her cousins in the Williston area throughout her whole life. Her sister Sheri has always been very dear and close to her heart.
Georgia is survived by her husband Luke, son John Muggli (Michelle), son Ben Muggli (Brenda) all of Miles City, son Joe Muggli (Evelynne), Of Dickinson, North Dakota, daughter Lucy VanCleave (John) of Bozeman, Montana and her sister Sheri Brewer of Billings, Montana. Georgia was always such a kindhearted lady. When I was a kid in Lucy’s class at Sacred Heart, she was always one of the moms who went out of her way to say hello and ask how I was doing – I always appreciated that. She will be missed here as she is welcomed in Heaven.

  28. Sheri Fae Brewer says

    March 26, 2012 at 6:12 pm

I can´t count the number of times my sister, Georgia, said to me “I don´t know how I ever became so lucky and so blessed to marry Luke.”
Gigi loved her children and their spouses. She was so proud of all of their accomplishments. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
She loved her job in medical records; that´s why she stayed there for almost 20 years.
She loved playing scrabble and attending her birthday groups because she enjoyed spending time with dear friends.
She was a hard but a cheerful worker. She enjoyed working in her church. Gigi and I enjoyed spending time with our relatives. We especially looked forward to traveling to North Dakota to stay with Avonne and Dave Pederson, where we were treated like royalty.
I have wonderful memories of spending time with my sister. She could get so silly and laugh so hard that we would get hysterical. Luke would just sit there quietly, and roll his eyes.
I love my sister, Gigi, very much. She was very caring, thoughtful, encouraging and generous to me.
    She will be sorely missed.
The one I took for granted,
Who´d be here when I´ve gone.
    Has slipped away, before me,
    And brought this anguish on.
    Sheri Fae Brewer (sister)

    To My Dearest Mom,
I lost my best friend and the most important woman in my life today! You have instilled in me so many things. Most importantly, how to love, be patient and forgiving, and creating a Mother & Daughter Bond that will never be broken. I pray that I will have that special bond with my own daughter. You will always be my best friend and hero. You are the wind beneath my wings. Until we meet again, you will be tucked away close to my heart. I will Love You Forever!! Your Daughter, Lucy Marcella
