Graveside Service: Family and friends will gather on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home to proceed to the graveside services which will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors
Gerald Bozarth, age 81, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Veterans Nursing Home in Miles City.
Gerald was born in Jordan, Montana on June 2, 1926, the son of Guy and Edith (Johnson)Bozarth. He attended schools in Jordan and graduated from Garfield County High School. Following his schooling at the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Army on September 13, 1944. Following his discharge on November 23, 1946, he moved to Terry where he began working at the Roy Rogers Tavern. He married Shelley Schneider at Miles City in 1953. Following their marriage, they moved to Miles City where he worked for the Range Riders Bar until he retired due to ill health. Gerald resided in the Veterans Nursing Home for the past seven years.
Gerald enjoyed playing pool, poker, and Bingo at the VA Nursing Home.
Gerald is survived by his children: Debbie (Duane) Maier of Miles City, MT; Gaye (Rob)Muri of Miles City, MT; Rita Nicholson of Nipomo, CA; and Terry Bozarth of Miles City, MT; a brother, Robert (Betty) Bozarth of Billings, MT; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Gerald was preceded in death by his father Guy Bozarth and his mother and step father, Edith & Bob Cowan, and his siblings: Ernest Bozarth, Mildred Jone’s, Mike Bozarth, JackBozarth, Gene Bozarth, Grace Euell, and Babe Bozarth.
