Gerald Hirsch, age 84, passed away early morning on July 16, 2024.
Gerald was born in Miles City, Montana on February 11, 1940, to Jacob and Martha (Elhart) Hirsch. He attended Rock Springs School where he graduated from the 8th grade. He lived on the family farm all his life. He later bought the farm from his parents. Farming and raising cattle were his livelihood. Later on, Gerald only farmed until he retired, leasing the farm ground out. Gerald later resided at the Holy Rosary Nursing Home where he remained until his passing.
Gerald is survived by his three sisters: Delores Sitton, Marlene Preller and Sandy Nielsen and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Leroy, and nephews: Chris Nielsen and Tony Sitton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.

I remember Gerald enjoying the dances and picnics we used to have at the Rock Springs Hall many years ago. The entire Hirsch family were treasured friends of my parents, so there are many fond memories. Sending prayers of sympathy to all.
