Gerald Eugene RedWoman (Elk River) was born in the cold bitter morning hours of December 28th, 1944. His parents were the late Eugene (Jack Rabbit) RedWoman and the late Cora Horseroads RedWoman. Earlier on in his life he attended St. Labre Highschool and was in the US Army 82nd Airborne Paratroop. He enjoyed sports, track boxing, basketball and baseball. He also enjoyed joking with family and friends.

Dad we thank you for being our dad. The way you included us in your viewing area of the world we live in. We thank you for your whole life, as it was a gift to all you encountered. The way you helped us to remain connected to everything that is a thing. The sweet songs you sang created a connection to the cosmic rhythm of grandmother earth. As your children we honor you for providing a home for all those children that had a void, which you filled, you have taught us your valiant warrior spirit, by your service to our country in the U.S. Army. Ass kicken eighty duecer you would say. Your face would light up and spirits lifted when you told stories of your time as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. We know you grew up.

The memories you shared about your life included awesome individuals. Say hello for us dad, we have a lot of amazing Cheyennes waiting for your arrival. Were going to paint you now dad so you can see your mother Cora, your dad Eugene, and the rest of our loved one's. Someday dad we, your children will travel across that milky way when Maheo calls us. Until then dad, we will continue to put nothing but good things on our children. We will never forget where we came from, how we got here, what were suppose to do while were here, and to pay attention to where we want to go and how we will get there. You tell us to stay clear of mean people and to be around nice people. This is only the end of your body, the gift that carried your soul and spirit throughout your life. Your soul and spirit is free now. We are at peace with you dad, rest now.
