Geraldine Ann Gerri Chamberlin, age 53, of Winnett, Montana passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City.
Gerri was born in Jordan Montana on April 18, 1956, to John A. and Karen A. (James) Barnes. Gerri attended grade school in Jordan and graduated from Garfield County High School. She married Lyle Chamberlin September 2, 1973 at Jordan, Montana. They lived at Brusett, Montana and moved to Winnett, Montana, where they ranched on the Mussellshell River. Gerri spent the past four years working in the Resource Room at Winnett School until the time of her death.
Gerri loved life on the ranch with her horses and singing karaoke at the Winnett Bar. Easter was very special to Gerri, she loved having her family for dinner and going to look for shed horns, and most of all she loved her family and friends.
Gerri wanted to thank her entire community for supporting her above and beyond to help her through her final days.
Gerri is preceded in death by Grandparents Urban and Alma James, John Barnes and Helen Jenrich. She is survived by her parents, J. Allen and Karen Barnes of Jordan, Lyle Chamberlin of Winnett,children,Kanyon (Jen) Chamberlin of Miles City, Skye (Amy) Chamberlin of Miles City, and Rance Chamberlin of Winnett, Jadie Twitchell of Winnett, Brothers, Pat Barnes and Larry Barnes both of Jordan, special friends, Mary Guesanburu of Gillette Wyoming, Kim Doman of Winnett, Bonnie McClain of Forsyth, Jerry Twitchell of Winnett, and her five grandchildren, Devin, Alecia, Dezirae, Aiden and Eve all of Miles City.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winnett School Gymnasium.A luncheon will follow the service at the court house basement in Winnett.Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the family lot of the Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Jordan is in charge of the arrangements.
