Judy Denson-Keller says
My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to Button(Jimmy), Vicki, and their families. I first met Gib when he was teaching 6th grade. My brother was a student of his. The memory that sticks most in my mind is dodging the basketball that came flying out of the classroom window as I was walking along the sidewalk that went along side of the wing of all of the classrooms. It turned out that he was throwing the ball to two of his students who wanted to play basketball. In his teaching days, Gib reminded me of someone who marched to the tune of a different drummer. There are also many fond memories of him attending family and neighbors brandings. May God Bless all of you and bring you peace during this extremely difficult time. Sincerely, Judy Denson-Keller

Button & Vicki, I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. Losing your father is never easy, no matter how old you are. I still have a vivid memory of seeing him with you, Button, when we were little squirts. I was with my dad & we all happened to be at the little drive-in that used to sit next to McCurdy’s gas station – remember that little joint? No idea why I remember it, but I do. May your memories of him lend you comfort. He had that bright ever-present smile. I’ll hold you in my thoughts and prayers – especially on Monday as you celebrate his life. Andrea (Hough) Heyneman

I never knew Gib, met him when I was pretty little I think) but my dad, Jack, rodeoed with him back in the day and dad talked about the fun they had and he sure enjoyed visiting with Gib. My dad passed Sept. 1,2010, so I’d like to think they are getting reaquainted up there in the big arena. My prayers and sorrow are with you all-its really hard to go on without them in our lives but they are in our hearts always.
