Glada Marie Aye Abel, age 88, of Miles City passed away on April 15, 2009 at her home in Miles City.
Glada was born on December 29, 1920 the daughter of John A. and Margrette Aye. She graduated from Custer County District High School and attended Spearfish Normal. Glada worked various jobs including secretary to an army general and an assembly line worker during WWII. She most loved staying at home and caring for her children, mother and grandchildren. She was indeed a caretaker and anyone could always find a hot meal at noon. Mom was a private person, but took great joy in her family including nieces and nephews Aaron, John Jr., Bret, Charles, Robbie, Johnny and sister-in-law Lona Aye. She also loved to get together with her many friends and to travel with her children.
Glada is survived by her son Bill Abel and wife Nancy, daughter Margrette, Kinne and husband Mike, grandchildren Mikael Porcello, Andrew and Adam Abel, two great-grandchildren and special sister and aunt Arla Green.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Herbie Jr. and five siblings.
