Gladys Joanne Comer passed away on November 29, 2025 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT.
Gladys was born on September 1, 1935 at the family farm, in the Olanda area north of Terry, MT. She was the first of five children born to Gus and Freida Kuehn. On December 10, 1952, she married Lloyd (Spike) Comer. They had 3 boys, Rickie, Rocky and Rodney, and lived in Terry until 1968 when they moved to Miles City, MT. She was a homemaker and devoted mother to her boys and many of their friends. In her later years she and Spike were very active with their grandkids. Always making the drive to watch them and cheer them on in whatever they did. She was a special “hockey” grandma to many of her grandkid’s teams, feeding and housing as many as she could when they played in Miles City.
Gladys knew her way around a kitchen and always had goodies and coffee to share with family and friends. She had many talents including sewing, crocheting, crafting and even drove a semi truck a time or two. She was a member of the Miles City Garden Club for many years and had a special way with flowers.
Gladys is survived by her sons: Rocky (Nanette), of Gillette, WY; and Rodney, of Miles City, MT; Grandchildren: Rick (Maggie) Comer of Kansas City, MO; Cassidy (Tyler) Meis, Ft. Worth, TX; Brooke (Bill) Stankey of Glendive, MT. She is also survived by four siblings: Marian Strobel of Billings, MT; Glen (Donna) Kuehn of Las Cruces, NM; and Karen (Leonard) Johnson of Stephensville, MT. She is also survived by many, much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding Gladys in death were her son Rickie Gene, her husband Spike, her parents and sister Margie.

Gladys and Spike were the best! Spike would stop at Dad’s (Doug Nelson) shop for “beer thirty”. He just came to visit and it was the best! They both came to dad’s July 4th party too. After dad’s stroke, they even shared the same dining table at Friendship Villa.
Gladys was a wonderful lady and she will be missed!
