Gladys Marie (Patrick) Haun passed away after a long battle with cancerSaturday, July 30, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Bozeman, Montana.
Gladys was born on June 2, 1929 in Jordan, Montana. She was the youngest of ten children born to Samuel Patrick and Roxie Ella (Phillips) Patrick. Gladys married William A.Haun on April 4, 1948 in Miles City, Montana.
During her 30 year career with the telephone company, Gladys worked as an operator in Miles City, Livingston, Three Forks, Helena, Glendive, Red Bluff, CA, and Casper, WY. She retired from the phone company in 1982 when the office was closed. She loved being a telephone operator and hated to retire. She worked for the grade schools in Casper as a lunch room aid until she was diagnosed with cancer in 1993. Gladys enjoyed every day accepting what life had dealt her, never complaining, always smiling.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; a daughter, Gayle Watts and her husband Myles of Bozeman, MT; a son, HarveyHaun of Casper, WY; daughter-in-law, LynnHaun of Bremerton, WA; four grandchildren:Alexys Haun of Bremerton, WA, Brandon Haun of Olympia, WA; Jade Watts of Bozeman, MT; and Kimberly Watts of Bozeman, MT; two brothers: Carl Patrick and his wife Ruth of Bodfish, CA; and Jim Patrick of Miles City, MT; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Bill Haun, grandson Quentin Watts; four brothers: Jay, Cecil, Olin, and Floyd Patrick and three sisters: Bea Cobb, Teresa Anderson, and May Hay.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
