Glenda Lorraine Pixie Nicholas, age 56, of Ashland passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 in Billings, Montana.
Glenda Lorraine Nicholas was born November 30, 1953 in Salmon, Idaho to Glenda and George Moore. She moved with her family from Cobalt, Idaho to Cokeville, Wyoming in 1960 where she graduated from high school. Glenda married Larry Nicholas and was later divorced. She then went to college at Western Wyoming and the University of Wyoming and graduated with a degree in Special Education. She worked for the school system of Wolf Point, Montana and then at Ashland, Montana for 19 years.
Glenda will be remembered for her passionate love of dogs, her enjoyment of camping and being with her family, especially her four older brothers, George, Rocky, Steve and Joe. Her numerous nieces and nephews loved her dearly. Glenda loved her job and friends at St. Labre Indian School and spoke fondly of her many experiences there. She was honored to participate in many of the cultural events. Glenda will be remembered for her determination and dedication to young people and love of family.
Glenda is survived by four brothers: George Moore of Cokeville, WY; Rocky W. (Doris) Moore of Cokeville, WY; Steven N. (Luci) Moore of Cokeville, WY; and Shannon Joe (Trudy) Moore of Lyman, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Labre Mission. Interment will be held at a later date. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
