Glenn Edward McKelvey, 87 years old, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on November 29, 2012.
Glenn was born September 28, 1925 in Ashland, Montana to Sam and Harriett McKelvey. Glenn was a World War II veteran, surviving the sinking of the USS Bismarck Sea in 1945. He came home from the service and married Eva Wheeler. They spent their life together raising their children and ranching.
Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising a garden. We’ll never forget the acres and acres of corn, harvesting his pear trees, tons and tons of radishes and trying to “grow” nut trees.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roy McKelvey and his sister Lucille Ambler. He is survived by his wife Eva of 65 years, one son Monty McKelvey of Seattle, WA; daughters, Carla (Jay) Johnson and Glenda (Bill) McKelvey-Grant both of Ashland, MT; his grandchildren Laiben (Trudi) Woods of Gillette, WY, Wade (Jeanette) Woods of Ashland, MT, and Sharla (Ryan) Hintermeister of Randall, MN; his great grandchildren Kayla, Dalton and Ethan Woods, Justin Sumner and Travis and Trevor Hintermeister.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the family ranch at Ashland. Burial will be on the family ranch. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.

Eva and Family,
We were so sorry to hear about Uncle Glenn’s passing. We wish we could have come to see him more often, but we’ll always remember him and his fun loving personality. I’ll always have fond memories of riding on the back of his four wheeler–bouncing around up in the hills of the ranch. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.
We’ll never forget him.
Love,
Glenn and Linda Beall

It’s a shame this man had offspring. Some of the most horribly inconsiderate entitled people I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. Hopefully they don’t continue the legacy of having offspring. Bad people. A shame this man couldn’t raise his kids right.
