Glenn F. Waller passed away on September 9, 2015 at the McCone County Health Center. Glenn began life in Helena, MT on March 7, 1927. He grew up with his brother Gordy and parents Harold J. and Lucille Waller on the family ranch northwest of Circle, MT. As a child, Glenn attended Horse Creek Country School and later graduated from Circle High School in March 1945. On March 3, 1945 Glenn enlisted in the Navy and was later stationed in the Pacific on the USS Hawkins. His service to our country continued until August 6, 1946 when he was honorably discharged. Glenn returned to the Gardner homestead and established his own ranching operation. A few years later Glenn met Doris Bjouralt and the two married on August 6, 1951. They remained on the Gardner homestead and had two children, Glennis and Howard. In early summer of 1955 the family moved to the Milo Claussen farmstead southwest of Circle where he expanded his farming and ranching. Glenn loved the farm lifestyle and adored his cattle. He enjoyed the early mornings and long days in the fields until health issues prompted him to retire. Following Doris’ death in 2008, Glenn moved to Glendive to live with Glennis and Terry. After further health complications, Glenn moved into the McCone County Health Center in September 2009. Glenn was very mechanical inclined and enjoying building tools and equipment for the farm. He shared his love of farming with the grandkids, even letting them drive his combine through the fields. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Doris and his parents. He is survived by his daughter Glennis (Terry) Osborn of Glendive, MT and his son Howard (Nina) Waller of Dallas, GA as well as his four grandchildren Aaron (Michelle) Waller of Douglasville, GA; Melissa ‘Missy’ Wilbur of Dallas, GA; Cameron Osborn and Kristi Osborn, both of Pocatello, ID.
