Hannah Ellen Ball, 89 of Forsyth passed away at Rosebud Healthcare Center on November 25, 2010.
Hannah was born Hannah Ellen Johnson on December 25, 1920 in Laurel County Kentucky to Wesley and Elizabeth Bowling Johnson. Hannah was married to James E. Ball in 1939. From this union were born James, Ronald and Donald Ball. She also gained a son Charles, age 5, from her husband's previous marriage. Hannah and Jim were married for 63 years before Jim passed away. Hannah was a gifted artist. Her art included painting, agate jewelry making and crafts of all kinds. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, baking and canning. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and going to garage sales. She was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Baptist Church in Forsyth.Hannah worked at several jobs in Forsyth. She owned and operated her own beauty shop and she and Jim owned and operated a restaurant.
Hannah is preceded in death by her husband Jim her son Don, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son Jim (Fran) and family of Billings, son Ron (Sheila) and family of Forsyth, son Charles (Shirley) and family of Hemet, CA and brother Virgil Farris and family of Forsyth as well as 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 2, 2010 at 11:00am in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Burial will be at a later date in the Forsyth Cemetery.
