Hannah Lynn Medicine Bull, our beautiful dancing star, left us early morning on February 20, 2009. Hannah, Hoxovenahanee, was welcomed by the angels into heavens light by her two favorite people Grandma Katie, and Grandpa Francis.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lords name is to be praised. Psalm 113:3 Hannah was the grace in our lives, she had many dreams that she shared with her parents, aunties, and family. Hannah lived her life with passion every day. She loved dearly, and with her whole being cared about everyone whom she called friend. Hannahs greatest pride came from her son Vitor, whom she loved immensely.
Hannah was a playful, imaginative and loving child. She loved to dance at pow-wows, play dress up, card games, skip rope and play with her younger cousin Christian and they remained close friends growing up. Hannah gave as she received. She taught us to have fun, to laugh and to live life to the fullest. Hannah Lynn grew into a beautiful young woman. She cared about her two special nieces; she would braid their hair and take them to school. She cared for her family, nieces, nephews and friends the best way she knew how.
Hannah was proud of her Northern Cheyenne and Navajo heritage. She had many talents including beading, sewing, cooking and creating native dance outfits. Hannah also liked to sing, she sang the National Anthem in her Navajo language as well as being a backup singer with her friend Marceline for their favorite drum group, the Tongue River Singers. She was a friend to many and always there to lend a hand, offer words of encouragement and hope.
Hannah graduated from St. Labre Catholic School where she was currently employed. She was involved in many school activities. She was our dancing star, traveling the globe representing her culture and heritage to people from all over Europe, including Sweden and Switzerland. She came home with gifts and souvenirs for everyone from her travels abroad. Living in a way her grandmother, Katie, taught her, she gave as she received. Hannahs greatest accomplishment, however, was being a mom. Vitor was loved and cherished by his mother. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me O God! How great is the sum of them. Psalm 139:17
Hannah Lynn is survived by her son Vitor and her partner Gabriel Mexican Cheyenne, her loving parents Larry and Roselyn Medicine Bull of Ashland, siblings Taunya (John) Bracero of New York, Karen S. House of Cortez CO., LaDawn Kay Medicine Bull (Joey Littlebird) of Bozeman, MT, Daryl (Tracey) Medicine Bull currently stationed at Ft Polk LA ,Victoria Stewart and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
