Harold Ernest Meidinger age 18 was born on August 29, 1994 in Miles City, Montana. He died on February 16, 2013 due to causes from an accident.
Harold attended Headstart Preschool and Elementary Schools in Miles City, MT. He graduated from Terry High School in 2012. He recently completed his first semester at MSU-Northern in Havre, MT in diesel mechanics coursework.
Harold was a people person; friendly, personable and loved to visit and text. He really loved guns, hunting and trapping, learning the ropes from local trappers Dan and Les Thomason. He helped with farming and ranching with Brad Eaton (Eaton Ranch); Lon Reukauf (Cherry Creek Ranch) and Joel and Nichole Jackson Ranch. While attending MSU-Northern, Harold was employed at Bear Paw Livestock Center in Chinook, MT, and spent a lot of his time helping out on North Country Quarter Horse Ranch, Big Sandy, MT, with Fred, Linda, Grace Finke and Preston Meidinger. Through his travels, Harold met and made many new friends.
Harold loved to take his mother out hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed riding horses and fixing up his 1998 Dodge 4×4. He was always game for new things like team roping and bull riding with his friends. Harold’s real interest was working on vehicles. He had a true sense of mechanics, spending many hours under hoods of different vehicles. He loved snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, motorcycling, and mudslinging.
He loved playing the banjo and watching movies. He enjoyed cooking and would vacuum in exchange for home-cooked meals topped with ketchup, Tabasco or Ranch Dressing.
He always stopped to help someone out friend or stranger …he had a heart of gold. He loved technology including phones, stereos and computers.
He kept everyone guessing on what he would do next. His least favorite thing to do was building and repairing electric fences. He was young and adventurous.
His best friend was his loyal and loving dog, Jack.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Meidinger of Terry, Grandmother Edna Meidinger of Miles City, Dora Meidinger-Huckins, Linda (Fred) and Grace Finke, Preston Meidinger all from Big Sandy, Iva (Gary) Kirkpatrick, Daniel (Dawnya) Kirkpatrick of Terry, Charlene Meidinger and Kora (Nick) Payne from Clyde Park, Kim Haas of Livingston, Roland Meidinger from Alexadria ND, DJ Meidinger of Dickinson ND, Floyd Huckins of Broadus, Randi Kirkpatrick of Glendive, Michelle (James) Hendrickson of Shoshone WY, Shanna Huckins of White Sulphur Springs, Lyle Huckins of Jacksonville, NC, Micah and Shawnee Kirkpatrick of Terry.
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather and namesake Harold and Ilene Meidinger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Harold E. Meidinger Memorial and mailed to Box 50, Terry, MT 59349.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry. Interment will be held at a later date. I so want to write words that will comfort you at this difficult time. Harold was a special light to those around him, that is obvious with the remembrances that have been written. Lindsey and I were remembering special times on the farm and how much they mean to us. Harold provided us with a lot of those good memories, he was always great at making us laugh. At this time hold those special memories close and know that Harold is happy with family that has passed before him and love him too. We will keep you all in our prayers and know that the warmth you feel is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s loving arms around you saying, we needed him more. Love you and are here for you.

You never knew what crazy thing he was up to and never knew if you should be mad at him or chuckle under your breath at what he had do or had done. There never was a dull moment with him around. I personally will miss him stopping by the daycare every so often to give his Aunt Iva a bad time. I will miss hearing his noisy truck go by too. RIP Harold. You will be missed!!!

Dear mother of Harold,
I am sorry for the loss of your young son. As a mother, I cannot imagine your pain at losing Harold.
At tragic times like this , grieving ones need comfort. and the Bible is the best place to find it.
-Romans 15:4. says that “through our comfort from the scriptures, we might have hope”
The true God, Jehovah, shows us in the Bible, that soon his son, Jesus ,will perform the greatest miracle, that of the resurrection of the dead.-John 5:28,29. .
The Bible teaches that very soon, there will be no more death on the earth. You can read from your Bible at Revelation 21:4 that marvelous future hope for the human family.

Dear Family and Friends of Harold Meidinger, even though I did not personally know Mr. Meidinger, reading about his life was interesting and made me wish that I had known him. He had a variety of interests and added good to the lives of those who knew him. The loss of every human life is significant to me and should be valued by all. The Bible book of Hebrews reminds us that God does not forget all of the love and fine works shown by Mr. Meidinger (Heb 6:10). It was not God’s original purpose that mankind should suffer and die. At creation God was able to say that everything was “very good” (Gen 1:31) Death and imperfection was introduced through Adam’s disobedience (Genesis 2:17) and inherited by all mankind. Jesus’ sacrifice of his human life on earth again gave us hope of everlasting life and soon death will be no more (Revelation 21:4). Hopefully, faith in these Bible promises will ease the pain from this loss. Because of these promises we have reason to be hopeful and look forward to seeing Mr. Meidinger again in perfect health under Paradise conditions. We are also promised that the pain that we now experience with this loss “will not be called to mind.” (Isaiah 65:17) Meanwhile we have the opportunity to follow Jesus’ instruction to continue to take in Bible knowledge that leads to everlasting life (John 17:3).
Eileen Dey says
Doris, “I am so sorry to hear of Harold’s passing. ” “I could never fully understand how hard this must be for you, but I think of your family often & pray for you throughout the day.” I often think back to stories that Steven and David shared of moments with Harold and how funny they were. He was a great kid with a smile and positive attitude. We will miss him so.
Jim and Marla Ray says

Dear Friends and family, The service for Harold is now past us, but that won’t stop us from loving him anymore or any less. He has gone through his Easter and is up in heaven looking down on us. On his truck’s keychain there is a medal that has this scripture on it from Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We alll have to go on living our lives in hopes that no one can harm us in our daily adventures. lives, and jobs. We miss you Harold and we will continue to love you to the end of our days. Love you forever! Love Aunt Linda, Uncle Fred, and Gracie!
