Harold was born on July 25, 1917 in Armenia,Wisconsin. He was raised and spent most of his life in Miles City. At the age of sixteen,in the midst of the Great Depression,he formed a band with his brothers and they went north to play in the barsgoing up in the construction camps for the men building Fort Peck dam. In time theyworked their way south, and ended up playing clubs and dance halls in Southern California in the late thirties. With the coming of WWII the band broke up and Harold entered the army, but was injured in a training accident and invalided out in 1943.He later spent some time building night fighters at Northrop Aircraft. He returned to Miles City after the war an accomplished piano player and professional gambler. He was playing piano at a local night club when he met Aloha Brassuer. They were soon married and had five children before they divorced in 1971. He never remarried. Harold went to work for the Milwaukee Railroad in 1950 and worked until the railroad shut down in 1980. In his early years when layoffs for those with low seniority were common he would deal cards at the Range Riders to keep food on the table. He spent the best years of his retirement enjoying the company ofhis grandchildren. Aside from them his greatest joys were playing piano, playing cards, and driving fine cars, preferably Lincolns and T-Birds. He was more than anything else a Gentleman,in the purest sense of the word.

He is survived by his sons Michael Kransky, Jeffery Kransky, and Steven Kransky, his daughter Suzanne Kransky, and his grandchildren Gerrek, October Snow, Jesse,Heather,Janna, Jared, Toby, Alexia, and Christia. All other members of his family passed before him.
