Harold Raymond (Toot) Weischedel, age 84, of Miles City, MT passed away on June 30, 2007 at the Friendship Villa in Miles City.
Harold was born May 1, 1923 on the family ranch in Recluse, Wyoming. The son of Raymond Weischedel and Ada Adams Weischedel. He was one of 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Toot served in WWII in England and returned to the family ranch in Wyoming upon his honorable discharge from the Army.
Toot married Katherine Roberts in 1957 and moved to the ranch atPowderville, MT in 1959 with his growing new family. He remained on the ranch until October of 1992 when he retired to Miles City. Upon retiring he continued to garden, play cards, attend auctions and enjoy his children and grandchildren.
Toot was a caregiver of his family, his animals and the land. He was a wonderful father and was adored and respected by each of his children. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Toot is survived by his sisters: Betty Cotton of Gillette, WY; Erma ( Roland) Rumph of Biddle, MT; Carol Schultz of Denver, CO; and one brother Ted (Virginia)Weischedel of Recluse, WY. His six children: Lynne Weischedel, currently in Iraq; Jan (Mike) Trythall of Bismarck, ND; Ann ( Fred ) Hoff of Baker, MT; PamWeischedel of Billings, MT; Scott Weischedel of Casper, WY; and Ward (Kristee) Weischedel of Miles City, MT ; Five grandchildren: Justin Weischedel, Rachel & Elizabeth Trythall; Lauren Weischedel; and Jessica & Riley Weischedel.
Toot is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Ada, brothers Jake and Rich, and one grandson Marty.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 10:00 am at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
