In Memory Of

Harold W. “Hal” Seeley, age 92, of California

June 2, 1925 – April 3, 2018

Another of Baker’s hometown boys is gone. Harold “Hal” Seeley, a man who lived long and graciously. So much so, any man would have been proud to fill his shoes in any of his journeys throughout his 92 years.  In 1925 born to Frank and Vera Seeley he grew up with his siblings  Nelson, Robert, Gwendolyn, Zetta and Gordon in Baker. Following childhood at the tender age of 17 Harold joined the USN making it a carrier of pride and honor.

He married and helped raise two daughters of which he loved deeply. He helped give them the skills and education to do well in life making him a lifelong Trojan fan along the way. Late in life he was given the chance to do it all again when he met his best friend and forever soul mate.  They married and spent the next 30 years 24/7  together.  Following many travels and too many adventures to name,  he passed peacefully holding his wife’s hand with an ocean breeze gently flowing in, watching the waves as they broke slowly to the shoreline.

Knowing he was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Our reality beats any dream. May he live forever in our hearts.  Fulfilling his final wishes, he is to return home one last time to Montana with services being held April 27, 2018 in Helena where he will be laid to rest with military honors.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27th at 9:30 a.m. at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A graveside service will immediately follow at Montana State Veterans cemetery. A reception will follow the service at the Fort Harrison Service Club. Please visit www.aswfuneralhome.com to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Hal.

This man was a treasure to have known. Full of enthusiasm, pride, & love Hal entered our family in the summer of 1988 and that’s when life began for me. I was 22 and bulletproof. For the next 30 years we spent virtually every day all day together with love and laughter a top priority. My heart swells with pride for being lucky enough to have been his final choice to fulfill his journey in life. KrzHal

Captain and I came to visit again this morning. I never would have dreamed how much being up here comforts me. Life is still almost unbearable without you here beside me but I am so honored and grateful for all the memories you left me with. The knowledge you shared with me I will be forever grateful. I’m working on it baby…More difficult than necessary but not completly unexpected. I got your back….always and forever xoxo

Still is a difficult life without you by my side. Nothing ever seems to go right. I try and then it almost breaks me. Then I stand up and try again. No matter the preparation I’m still all clogged up. God, I miss you.

Not a lot better than the day you left. I believe I’ve completely fulfilled each and every one of your final wishes. I visit often and remember everything. I won’t forget how I got to where I am…I love you.

Sister’s came to visit. You are forever and always missed. Lightning does strike twice. I can’t believe I got through Oak Grove without a scratch. Oh it took a little doing and a few pep talks from Kellogg’s but so far so good. Carrs taking care of everything in the west and California’s resovoirs are full once again. I can’t bring it with me so I’ll do my best to enjoy it here. I miss you.

Still the same without you here. I’m miserable but keep going. My new sidekick is a joy. Elsa has been out yo meet you several times now but it doesn’t get any easier. I talk with sisters often but don’t see them as often as when you were here? Makes no sense? One day we will see you along with Mom, Dad Chance Precious,Rupert,Captain and all the others that have gone before. I miss you so..
