Graveside Service: Custer County Cemetery.
Hazel Denise Rickett, age 47, of Miles City passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Hazel was born in Miles City, Montana on August 1, 1962, the daughter of Raymond Hugo and Grace Hazel (Flanigan) Zuelke. She grew up and attended schools in Miles City. Following graduation, she attended the University of Montana. She then returned to Miles City where she worked at the Miles City Credit Union. Hazel married Richard Pat Rickett on May 5th, 1984 in Miles City, Montana. Following their marriage, she worked for W.I.C., K-Mart and also at Holy Rosary Hospital. Hazel then stayed home with her children and was a homemaker until 2007 when she began working at Walmart.
Hazel loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed following her children in sports. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling and was an avid Star Wars fan. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Pat Rickett; a son, Hunter Rickett; two daughters: Electra Rickett and Ezaria Rickett all of Miles City, MT; three brothers: Tom Zuelke of Denver, CO; Lee (Marian) Zuelke of Miles City, MT; and Les (Jean) Zuelke of Fon du Lac, WI; a sister, Mary Bagley of Boulder, MT; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two children at infancy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 2:15 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery.
