Funeral service for Gillette resident H. D. Eddie Edwards will be at 10:00
A.M. Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at the Blanche Beck Memorial Chapel in Pioneer
Manor in Gillette, Wyoming, with Pastor Gordon Harper of the Vineyard
Christian Fellowship officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services
at the Pioneer Manor Chapel.

Eddie Edwards died on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at the Pioneer Manor of natural causes. He was 78 years old.

H.D. Eddie Edwards was born the son of Elwood W. and Ruby (Thomas) Edwards on October 4, 1924, in Logans Port, Louisiana, where he was raised and educated. In 1940, he joined the US Marines where he served as the youngest at the time Gunnery Sgt. in WWII. Upon honorable discharge in 1948, he went to work in the oil industry. When Eddie was working in the fields of North Dakota, he met Evelyn Ruth Redahl whom he married in 1953. In 1956, they made their home together in Casper, Wyoming, where they raised their three children. While in Casper Eddie worked in the oilfield and also as an insurance agent. After Eddie retired in 1989, he and Evelyn moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Eddie was an avid fisherman and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Eddie is survived by his wife Evelyn of Gillette; three children: Kevin (Marci) Edwards of Morgan, Utah; Brad (Lorie) Edwards of Gillette, Wyoming; and Patricia Kay (Tommie) Johnson of Gillette, Wyoming;eight grandchildren: Michelle Lee, Jennifer Diane, Ashton Spencer and Emma Lyn Edwards, Mindee Del Marsh, and Nathan Darrell Zachary Allan and Emily Nicole Edwards.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
