Heather Shree Killsnight Standing Elk, 38 of Lame Deer Mt slipped away during the night on August 21, 2022. Heather was given her Indian name Coyote Woman O’komeha’e named after her grandmother Hazel Killsnight.
Heather was born to Eric Killsnight Sr & Mildred Charger on February 20, 1984 in Crow Agency Mt. She was the oldest of her siblings so she was the protector of her younger brothers Eric Jr and Delane. Heather was a daddy’s girl. Growing up in Lame Deer Westside and attending school in Lame Deer graduating in 2002 as a proud LD Morning Star. During her high school years she played basketball and was proud to be a cheerleader. Heather was also a member of the Fire Fly dancers ’93-’94.
Heather became a mother to her only daughter Angelicia Killsnight in 2004. She loved being a mother. She met Stanley Roberts in Eaglebutte, SD and with that union came her 2 sons Terrance and Adrian Roberts. Then she met John Clubfoot Sr and with that union came her 3 sons John Jr, Joshua and Joseph Roy Clubfoot.
On February 1st, 2017 Heather married Richard Standing Elk of Salt River, AZ & resided in Pima Maricopa Indian community before she moved back to Lame Deer.
In her spare time Heather loved to listen to Bearhead Sisters. She was really happy when the Bearhead sisters called her and sang her Happy Birthday. Heather was a wicked poetry writer as her brothers would say. She loved to visit family & friends and recently became a grandmother to Trey’licia which she was so proud of. Heather loved to tease and laugh around and spar with her brothers which toughened her up.
Survivors include her father Eric Killsnight Sr of the family home, her mother Mildred (Charlie) Charger of Butte, Mt, her husband Richard Standing Elk of Salt River,AZ, her children Angelicia Killsnight & granddaughter Trey’licia, Terrance and Adrian Roberts, John Jr, Joshua and Joseph Roy Clubfoot. Her brothers Eric Killsnight Jr of Lame Deer, Delane Killsnight of Billings, Mt, Isiah Bigback of Portland, OR, Kamon Shotgunn of Billings, Mt, also survived by her niece Skylei (Skybug) and De’jon Killsnight of Billings, Mt., Aunts Nadine Killsnight, Rynalea (Rennie) Pena, Jamie Whiteman, Florene Whiteman, Rogene, Charlotte, Ardena, Valentine, Dana, Francine Whiteman, Uncles Lucas, Marvin, Reginald Sr Killsnight, Woodrow Blackwolf, Frank Whiteman III, Arnold & Jr Brady
