Helen Ardell Johnson (nee Anderson), 86, of Forsyth, Montana, joined our Lord, Jesus, in heaven on March 8, 2017. She was born November 5, 1930, in Park Rapids, Minnesota, to Arthur G and Theressa (Smith) Anderson.
Helen was the youngest daughter, and third from the youngest of 10 children who include Marion “Bud” Anderson, Mae Bell Kennedy, Jeanette Marmon, Robert Anderson, Dora Judnitsch, Erwin Anderson, Donald Anderson, Rickie Anderson, and infant brother, Lee Anderson. She graduated from high school in 1948 in Park Rapids, Minnesota. She worked at the welfare office at the courthouse until she wedded, Robert J. Johnson, on June 25, 1950.
To this union they added five children: Dale Johnson, Brian Johnson, Scott Johnson, Susan (Johnson) Hause, and Kevin Anderson. She was a fun loving, hard-working woman all of her life. Helen was very good about keeping up with family and friends and never forgot a birthday. She was excited to be getting to know Jesus again as she had as a little girl and to have made such good friends in the community and at church.
Helen is survived by her brother, Erwin Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; sons: Dale Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Scott Johnson of Bemidji, Minnesota ; Kevin Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and daughter, Susan Hause of Forsyth, Montana.
A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, in Forsyth, Montana. Arrangements are pending for a memorial service and burial in Bemidji, MN.
