Helen Louise Medicine Top Yellow Robe, Hesto’tonah, Braided Hair passed away on November 8, 2020 in Billings, Montana. She was born on February 2, 1952 to Edward Medicine Top Sr. and Lily Wolfchum Medicine Top.
She attended school in Layton, Utah and graduated there. After graduation she worked at the Northern Cheyenne Housing Authority and later at the Lame Deer IGA, she then became a full time housewife. She enjoyed sewing and was a very talented seamstress. She really loved taking care of her grandchildren and love to gourd dance.
She married Lloyd Yellow Robe in 1972, to this union they had four children: Kristen R. Yellow Robe, Payne Yellow Robe, Chase M. Yellow Robe and Jewel Beth Yellow Robe. Preceding her in death is her husband, Lloyd Yellow Robe; daughter, Jewel Beth Yellow Robe, son, Chase M. Yellow Robe; brother in law, Gary Wolf Name; sister, Eunice Black of Oklahoma; Edward Medicine Top; parents, Edward and Lily Wolfchum Medicine Top; and grandson, Jakob Eli.
She is survived by her sisters, Katherine Bellymule Foote; Lenora Wolf Name, Linda Brady, Hank, Wolf Name, Rick Wolf Name; children, Kristen Yellow Robe, Payne Yellow Robe; grandchildren, Isaiah, Mac Jr., Gerald, Lily, Kaden and Keon, Phaylen, Ben Jr., Lauryn D., Chase M., Byron P., Lloyd’s name sake: Keenan James Big Back; great grandchildren, Dexter Eli, Milbrandt, and Lyrik Zee Yellow Robe. Surviving families are Wolfchums, Red Hats, Bellymules and Spottedelks.
