Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Gospel Fellowship Church, Wolf Point, Montana.
Interment: will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point, Montana.
Henry Edward Isle 82, a long time resident of Wolf Point, Montana, died on Saturday April 17th, 2010, at Trinity Hospital, Wolf Point, MT with his family at his side. Henry was a real trooper and he fought a good fight with cancer, but it was not his to win.
Henry was born on October 17th, 1927, the son of Charles Augustus and Mary Della Isle in Wolf Point, Montana. Henry went to school at Macon, Montana a small school east of Wolf Point going to school 1st thru 8th grades, and then starting his working career. On January 22, 1971 Henry married the love of his life, Mary Virginia Beasley, in Jordan, MT. Together they had two boys, Paul Scott of Billings, MT ; Henry Jr. of Wolf Point, MT and one daughter Mary Paulette of Vida, MT. Henry was baptized at the Church Of God in Kentucky, and attended the Vida Community Church. Henry worked on the Fort Peck Dam building the powerhouses, and substations, he did auto body repair work for Jim Stout in Louisville, Kentucky, a farm hand south of the river, auto body repair for Earl Nefzger, andauto body man at Rather - Fox Ford in Wolf Point, MT, for 48 years. Henry was very well known all over the country for his fine auto painting. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He loved hunting and fishing, boating, playing cards and games, and played any kind of musical instrument by ear, restoring old John Deere tractors, gardening and collecting model collectors of John Deeres, cars and pickups. He enjoyed most time with his family and friends, and loved his grandkids dearly. He always had a big ear to ear grin and a hug for you.
Henry is preceded in death by his father Charles Augustus Isle and mother Mary Della Isle, two brothers Roger and Charles, two sisters-in-law Agnes Isle and Avis Isle, and brother in law Ray Biem.
He is survived by his wife Mary Virginia Isle of Wolf Point; two sons Paul Scott of Billings, MT, and Henry, Jr. (Carol) ofWolf Point, MT, one daughter Mary Paulette and finance Les Olsen of Vida, MT; along with his two sisters, Mary Biem of Havre, MT, Wilma (Monroe) Bartell of North Wolf Point, MT; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and his very special dog Scamp.
Henry, we love and miss you very much. We know you are watching over us, and will see you again. You will be in our hearts and prayers forever.Funeral services will be held at the Gospel Fellowship Churchat 201 Hill St. Wolf Point, MT. on WednesdayApril 21st; at 2 pm. Visitation will be at Clayton Stevens Memorial, Wolf Point, MT. from 5pm. to 7pm on Tuesday April 20th. Condolences may be sent to the Isle family at www.stevensonandsons.com.
