We will miss the kindest most thoughtful woman, Hilda, our sister from the Rosebud. So grateful for all that Hilda did to help our mother when she was sick, bringing laughter and all the visits in Cheyenne. Mom would just brighten up when Hilda walked in. Hilda was elected to tribal council and was a compassionate smart leader of our Tribe. I traveled with Hilda to Washington DC for Congressional hearings to protect the Tongue River. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell welcomed the Cheyenne delegation and took us out to steak dinner. Afterwards, Senator Ben gave Hilda a ride around the Capitol on his motorcycle! She had such fun and I wish we had taken a photo! We will see you again, sister. Our prayers to all the family.
