In Memory Of

Ilene Hough, age 91, of Miles City.

November 2, 1925 – April 19, 2017

Ilene Oster Hough was born to George and Emma Oster at Ismay, Montana on November 2, 1925 and passed away at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, Montana on April 19, 2017. She was raised on the family ranch/farm at Ismay, Montana. She had nine siblings. She attended Cottonwood school through the eighth grade.

On June 6, 1947 she married Victor Hough in Miles City, Montana. They had two daughters, Linda and Vicky. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She was a stay at home MOM!!!!

Ilene was a volunteer at Holy Rosary Extended Car and RSVP playing bingo with the Residents and very active with Relay for life. She was a devout Christian and a long-standing active member of the Presbyterian Church and Deborah Circle. She helped with making many quilts for under privileged children and the Country Store. She devoted countless hours to the church’s prayer chain.

Ilene enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and having friends and family over for meals.

Ilene lovingly devoted her life to acts of service to others and without a doubt left this world in a better place. Her beautiful spirit will live on in the many lives that she touched.

Ilene is survived by her daughter Linda (Wallace) Stevens of Langdon, ND., Grandchildren Deidra (Lyle) Long, of Langdon, ND., Reid Danklefsen of Miles City, Great Grandchildren Josie and Victor Long. Grandma Ilene was nurturing and caring for me while I was a kid diagnosed with two cancers. She was there through a lot of my treatments at The Children’s Hospital in Denver. I am blessed for those times to be with her. She always told me words of strength to over come these two battles. She encouraged me to join the Relay For Life her and I would hit that track and walk in the strength to support others not as fortunate and remember we to overcomega our own battles. Grandma Ilene was definitely a true hearted person who cared and loved to help people. I am forever greatful of her in so many ways. I know she will be one of our forever angels in God’s eternal light. I loved her so much. Even though years caused distance I will still and always be greatful of her. She is and always will be my Grandma on Earth and in Heaven. I love you and know you and Papa Bear can finally be together yet once again.

    Ilene Family,
Ilene shared a number of positive stories with me after passing of my Dad, Jimmy Archdale. Those stories mean a tremendous amount to me. Ilene had an understanding of my Dad that few individuals have shared with me. Remember the good times.
