Interment: Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.
Inez Maxine Fisher, age 92, of Meade, Washington, formerly of Miles City passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008 in Spokane, Washington.
Inez was born in Fallon, Montana on February 19, 1916, the daughter of L.D. and Clara (Keeler) McMakin. She attended schools in Prairie County. Following her schooling, she married Peter Konig on September 12, 1932 at Beach, North Dakota. Following their marriage, they farmedon Upper Cracker Boxand Bad RouteRoad for over 20 years. She later married Tom Fisher on March 21, 1968 in Gillette, Wyoming. Following their marriage, Tom worked construction throughout Montana, retiring in 1983 making Miles City their home. In 2001,she moved to Spokane, Washington. She was in a group home ran by her granddaughter Beverly and her husband Tim, where she was loved and treated very special, with many trips to the SeniorCitizens, the hairdressers, and making sure she was with her family on special days. She was a true Montanan, spent most of her life in Montana and after moving to Spokane she always wanted to move back to Montana.
Inez loved to cook for family and friends, crochet, do gardening, and most of all spend time with her family. She received many blue ribbons for her crocheted projects at the fair. Many family and friends have received gifts of her fancy work which will be cherished forever.
Inez is survived by two daughters: Marjorie (Jim) Patterson of Green Acres, WA; children Darlene Frazier, Wayne (Kathy) Patterson,Beverly (Tim)Walter, Pete (Suzanne) Patterson;Virginia (Ron) Shevela of Glendive, MT, children Lois (late Larry Haggerty) Haggerty, David (Barb)Shevela. Carol (Craig) Torno, Miles (Lynn) Shevela; two step daughters: Gloria (Leon) Doucette of Nashua, MT; and Carol (Don) Sauter of Mareno Valley, CA; two stepsons: Larry Fisher of Billings, MT and Richard (Janice) Fisher of Fort Benton, MT; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and twelvegreatgreat grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren. Sister In-Law Teddy McMakin.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard "Dick"McMakin, Robert Bob McMakin and JamesMcMakin, a sister Dorothy McCluskey and a Great Grandson Ryan Patterson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City.
