Inez Augustine Spotted Elk Wilson Heseeota’e (Herb Woman) Soohtona’hane’e (kills 9 times woman) arrived into this world on September 4th, 1936 to August Spotted Elk and Lottie Rowland in Lame Deer; her step-father, Winfield Travis, and departed on March 1st, 2017. She came from a lineage of Chiefs, she was also a devout Catholic, she married William Curley Wilson Sr. on December 15th, 1955 who proceeded her in death, also proceeding her are 2 sons, Clement Wilson and Clovis Wilson; sisters: Virginia Spotted Elk Whitedirt, Alice Spotted Elk Yellowplume, Irene Wilson Spotted Elk, Jenny Spotted Elk, Mabel Woodenlegs Small, and Cora Spotted Elk; brothers: Samuel Spotted Elk, Marvin Spotted Elk, Abraham Spotted Elk, and Wallace White. We celebrate all their reunion in heaven.
She is survived by her son and daughter, William Wilson Jr. and Kathy (Clinton) Wilson, special grandsons: William Wilson III, Travis Wilson, Benji (Bessie) Wilson, and Jesse (Johnee) Wilson; granddaughters, Dawn Martel and Sherri Wilson; and her brothers, Navitt (Maxcene) Spotted Elk and Wesley (Bonnie) Spotted Elk.
Inez raised many children and had an everlasting impact on each of us. Her gentle humble ways were a reflection of a Traditional Cheyenne woman.
We would like to thank the Billings Clinic Staff and all her Friends and Family that surrounded her in prayer in her moment of transition. If we have forgotten anyone please forgive us, our family is very large.
