Irene C. "Reenie" Wilhelm, age 70, Miles City, MT passed away on October 5, 2005 at Holy Rosary Health Care in Miles City.
Irene was born in a sod house on the original Howard family homestead in Bayard, NE, on July 19, 1935, the daughter of Clarence and Ada Howard Curtis. The family moved to Seattle where her father worked in the shipyards for some years. He then owned a welding and salvage business in Redmond, WA., and later moved to Parma, ID, where Reenie graduated from High School. In 1952, she married Richard W, Beyl, and they had three children, Jody, Randy and Tammy.Following their divorce, in 1979, Irene moved to Miles City where she worked as a receptionist at the Beauty College and opened her own shop, the Cutt & Curl Beauty Salon. She later worked for Ritas Travel Service and Sayre Fire Equipment. In 1988, she and Robert S. Wilhelm where married.
Irene was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, VFW Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge Auxiliary at Harlowton, and the Miles City eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed her ceramics and made many pieces that will be treasured mementos for her friends and family. She had learned to enjoy the computer and spent many hours conversing via Email and researching the internet. Summers favorite pastime was working with her flower gardens and traveling. She visited 14 countries in Europe, she traveled the Caribbean and visited every state in the union except for three.
Irene is survived by her husband, Robert of Miles City; two daughters: Jody Schaibley and her husband David of Lena, IL, Tammy Corbitt of Eugene, OR.,: one son, Randy Beyl and his wife Rae Ellen of Gillette, WY.; two brothers, Donald and wife Cindy of Nampa, ID., Billy and wife Rena of Portland, OR., brother-in-law Danny Doersch of Fruitland, ID, and five grandchildren, Ryan Beyl, Dillon and Miles Schaibley, Alison and Tabitha Corbitt. She was predeceased by her parents and two grandsons, Justin and Joey, one sister, Linda Doersch and brother Harvey Curtis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2005 beginning at 2:00 pm with a vigil service at 4:00 pm at the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City, MT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October8, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Hi Mom, With Tears, I Miss You So Much!… 20 years and ThanksGiving 2024 has just passed, Rae Ellen and I stayed home this year and cleaned the fridge, The fridge was still full account leftovers from the Generous people that honored us account the recent passing of Rae’s Sister, Nov 8th Karen Huck Olson passed. Today I’m thinking of my Sisters to, Jody has been gone for a long while now, (i miss her) A year ago on my Birthday Our Dear Tammy left me alone down Here, Even She joined you in Heaven, I’m The Last Mom, The Curtis Kids are all Gone now, All my Curtis Family, Aunts and Uncles, Everyone, Tell Leona Hi for me To please, I’m thankful for getting to know her and our Howard side cousins, Not exactly Curtis Kids but seem close enough to clam em, Leona surely grew up with them Cutis Kids! They all Remain here with me in my Heart, so many Fond Memories, The 6th Is my Birthday Mom, I’ll be 70 Same as you when you passed Mom, I’m alone now, I struggle with my memories, To the World you maybe only one person, But to one person you maybe the World.
